Do You Know How To Listen?

I know that I don't most of the time. It's difficult to do sometimes. We get so involved in our lives, that we don't listen when somebody actually wants to talk to us. Ever sit there telling somebody something, after they asked the question, and you're thinking to yourself, "They aren't even listening. Why did they ask if they aren't going to listen?"

Ever since starting this journey, I have started talking to more folks and getting more practice in listening. It is hard sometimes, esp when I get involved with the conversation...then I want to take over. But I have learned something....all of us have a story to share. Like I said a few days ago, we just have a hard time finding somebody who wants to listen.

I will tell you this, I'm not a trained therapist and cannot solve or point you in the direction you may be looking for, however I can listen. What's funny is, you're listening to me right now. I thank you for reading and listening. Sometimes we don't need answers either. Just want to tell our story. Do you have one? I bet you do. If not me, share it with someone.
